Who makes Bugatti
Volkswagen purchased the Bugatti brand in 1998, and today it is considered a branch of the Volkswagen Group along with such well-known makes as Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Porsche. During its long history (over 100 years) the Bugatti marque changed several owners, including the Bugatti family, who founded the company, Hispano-Suiza (1963), and Romano Artioli (1986).
Where is Bugatti made
For many years, Volkswagen has been making the Bugatti cars in France, thus following the tradition started by the company’s founder Ettore Bugatti. The company is headquartered in Molsheim, Alsace, France, and its assembly plant is situated at the same place. The choice of the location seems natural, as Molsheim used to be the residence of the Bugatti family. Taking into consideration all this, it doesn’t look like VW is going to build Bugatti manufacturing plants elsewhere in the nearest future.
